SHAME: Anti-Choice Ringleaders in the U.S. House
What do House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), and Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) have in common? They're leading an all-out assault on access to abortion in health-care reform. Rep. Boehner falsely claimed that health-care reform would mean federally subsidized abortions, while Reps. Pitts and Stupak co-authored an outrageous letter calling for a new nationwide ban on abortion care in private health insurance. If they succeed, women across the country stand to lose reproductive-health-care coverage.
